Ordered my usual size for DeSoto products and this top was really tight across my chest and I could barely zip it (had to get help initially) and the arms were super tight. So much so, that it was nearly impossible to get the seam in the correct position. I communicated this to DeSoto, and was told that I needed to swim in it and it would loosen up. So I did that, and could only make about 7 laps due to the arms being so tight that it was like swimming with a resistance band on. The material of the top was much more rigid and not flexible like my speed vest, which contributed to its tightness and lack of flex. It's disappointing and I doubt if I will be able to use the top in any kind of useful way. So if you have more muscular arms and physique, I would advise you not to order this product.

Wow.... why did I wait so long!
I had a discount code....I wish every version of a story with this start was as great as my DeSoto experience! And I was in a hurry, my old one piece wetsuit had had an end of life experience one week before my first race of the season.. it was old (7 years) and worn and owed me nothing, but I was in a bit of a pickle. So I ordered a 2 piece suit on Sunday and paid for express shipping. Imagine my surprise that I received a call on Monday to confirm my size and my order. In fact DeSoto called me twice to confirm all my details and understand some of the wrinkles of my order. Everything showed up as expected and when I tried everything for an outdoor swim, I wondered all the way round why I had waited so long to purchase what for me is the most comfortable and downhill swimming feeling wet suit I have ever worn. I have zero constriction around my shoulders or chest and find the suit easy to put on and take off (this is as fast as my one piece). I cannot recommend this style of wetsuit or DeSoto enough. Just a class piece of kit and a great customer focused team. Thank you

Amazing!
My first open water experience was a little nerve wracking but the suit gave me great confidence in the water. Im accustomed to a wet suit with a farmer john and jacket from scuba diving, but find my diving suit (which is significantly thicker and has a neck component) to be very restricting. Your suit fit like a glove (thanks for all the sizing support) and I had no issues breathing/swimming in the suit (I love that the suit isn't constricting around the neck!). The buoyancy is phenomenal and I can achieve a great swimming position, float comfortably on my back to recover, and even relax while maintaining a vertical position in the water (to look around and get my bearings). As a new swimmer, Im blown away with your gear and the confidence/performance boost I get from it in the water. T1 First Wave Pullover
I bough the First Wave pullover and bibjohns because I've consistently fought the restrictive feeling of a 1 piece wetsuit. This was the perfect alternative. It's very quick and easy to put on or take off both pieces without having to feel like a contortionist. In my first event using this suit I had my best ever wetsuit swim time. I felt like I had complete range of motion with my arms so I was much less tired after the swim. One note, I am on the border between sizes. I originally ordered the smaller size, but it was too snug. De Soto was quick to process the exchange and the larger size fit well.

DeSoto has great products...but always also delivers in the customer service department as well...they seem to be the most eager people in the Endurance World in doing everything they can for the end-users
