The size chart above should serve as a general guide. If you would like assistance in determining the proper size, please send the following information to contact@desotosport.com.
We were the first to make a short with no gripper on the legs so you won't find any squeezing or pressing around the thighs!
Sizing: Please refer to the size chart button above for sizing guidance.
Fit Type: Form-Fitted
Fit Note: Please do not assume your size is the same as previous years, please use our size chart and if in doubt, email us at: femme@desotosport.com. Triathlon apparel is meant to fit next-to-skin. This is to eliminate potential chafing, and unnecessary drag during the swim, bike and run. If you’re not comfortable with this type of fit and or are between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Garment will fit the most snug the first time you put it on, it will relax slightly once wet.
NEW FEATURE: We eliminated the wide elastic waistband to avoid unwanted bulging when drawcord is pulled.

As a shorter person these are the perfect length, perfect compression - not too tight at the quad, so comfortable for post ride running!
Product has changed since purchasing same product years ago. Waistband is weaker. wide band doesn’t grip like old pair. Both have drawstring in waist which I removed in old pair. I don’t like relying on drawstring…too constrictive. New pair slides down on my butt if I don’t use drawstring. I do REALLY like the side pockets, though
Times are different than when I bought my last Carerra tri shorts, and things do change, but I really don't love the waistband on these - it rides low in the back and leaves a gap between shorts and jersey, the draw cord is ineffective and uncomfortable, the shorts ride down when running. I do love the fleece chamois so I will keep these, but won't buy more with this waistband.
Love the side pockets and the great fit. Very comfortable on bike rides and runs
Great product! I have 3 pairs of tri shorts from desoto that are at least 18 years old and i still wear them, no holes still fit just fine. Left them at a home we have in Florida so needed to buy a few more. Love the new ones even more, side pockets are a great addition!
These are the best tri shorts I have tried. I have another pair in a size larger, that needless to say didn't stay up, especially in the swim. I swam in these today with no problem at all. The fabric is soft and breathable. And I LOVE the pockets.
Very nice fabric, excited to try the bike shorts
I recently got back into the sport of triathlon. I had the same DeSoto shorts years ago & loved them. These are even better with the side pockets & better waist band. Perfect fit. Very comfortable from swim to bike to run! I’m 5’4, 124 lbs. the medium size fits best.
I love the side pockets and the leg length of these tri shorts. I prefer the old style waist band that did not have a draw cord and comes up a little higher in the back.
Love these shorts. They do not squeeze my legs and stay in place. Love the pockets on the side versus the back of the short. The pockets are deep and can hold lots of stuff.
These are my new go-to shorts going forward. I usually ride road bikes since I stopped racing Tri’s but I just do not like the thick padding of bike shorts. I used to wear a different brand of Tri shorts that also offers a seamless chamois but they changed the material and design of their shorts so I don’t like them anymore. I bought these DeSoto shorts and took them on a road biking trip in the Swiss Alps and immediately fell in love with the fit and feel of them. They are my new favorites! I will definitely be buying more!
I loved the previous version of the DeSota Carrera trishorts with the thick elastic waistband. It helped the shorts stay in place. Just having this drawstring is very uncomfortable. I wish they would sell both or bring back the one with the thick waist band!
I love these shorts. I know have 4 pairs.
